Buloba is an urban area in Central Uganda. It is one of the urban centers in Wakiso District.[2]

Location

Buloba is situated on the tarmacked, all-weather Kampala - Mityana Highway. It is located approximately 14 kilometres (8.7 mi), by road, west of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city.[3] The coordinates of Buloba are:0° 19' 30.00"N, 32° 27' 0.00"E (Latitude:0.3250; Longitude:32.4500).

Overview

Buloba is divided intio four administrative zones; from east to west:

  • Buloba ku Mwenda (Buloba Nine Miles) - About 9 miles (14 km) west of Kampala
  • Buloba Kasero - Located about 10.5 miles (16.9 km) west of Kampala
  • Buloba Main - Located about 12 miles (19 km) west of Kampala
  • Buloba Kiweesi - Located about 14 miles (23 km) west of Kampala

When the Uganda Oil Refinery is built, it is anticipated that the finished petroleum products will be piped to a location in Buloba, for distribution within Kampala and other towns such as Entebbe.[4]

The exact population of Buloba is not known at this time.
