Bukalo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bukalo is a settlement area in Namibia in the Caprivi region. It is situated about 40 km east of Katima Mulilo. It is where the Masubia Khuta, the palace of the Masubia Royal House, is situated. Current Chief of the Masubia tribe is Kisco Liswani III. Currently, the Khuta is without a Ngambela, after Chrispin Katukula was ousted from his seat. Bukalo is inhabited by people from the Zambezi flood plains.

Annually in winter Bwinkuhane Bwetu, the cultural festival of the Masubia is celebrated at Bukalo.[1]
