Buhweju is a town in Buhweju District, in Western Uganda. It is the main municipal, administrative and commercial center in Buhweju District, and is the location of the district headquarters.
Location
Buhweju is located approximately 310 kilometres (190 mi), by road, southwest of Kampala, the capital of Uganda and the largest city in that country.[1] This location is approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi), by road, northwest of Mbarara, the largest city in Ankole sub-region.[2] The approximate coordinates of Buhweju are:00 21 00S, 33 18 00E (Latitude:-0.3500; Longitude:30.3000). The coordinates are approximate because the town of Buhweju does not yet appear on most publicly available maps, as of January 2011.
