Bucalemu's square

Bucalemu (Mapudungun: big forest) is a Chilean town, located 37 kilometres (23 mi) from Pichilemu, in the Cardenal Caro Province, O'Higgins Region. It belongs to the Paredones commune and, according to the 1992 census, Bucalemu has 1,532 inhabitants.

In the Bucalemu's lagoon, is common to found black-necked swans. Throughout its four beach kilometers, in which are commonly used to fishing, principally of hakes and crabs (commonly known as jaibas).
