Brzeźnica [bʐɛʑˈnit͡sa] is a village in Żagań County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Brzeźnica.[1] It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north-east of Żagań and 27 km (17 mi) south of Zielona Góra.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
The village has a population of 875.
