Bruna Abdullah (born Bruna Abdalah[4]) is a Brazilian actress and former model, working in Bollywood.
Abdullah played the role of "Mary" in the adult comedy film Grand Masti and Giselle in Punit Malhotra's I Hate Luv Storys (2010). Abdullah marked her debut in Tamil Cinema on Chakri Toleti's Billa II (2012) which earned her the Best International Youth Icon Award.[5]
Early life
Bruna Abdullah was born in 1986 or 1987, into a mixed ethnic of both Brazilian Portuguese and Arab Brazilian parents in Porto Alegre, and is the second child of two children. Abdullah never had any intention to make her fortune in India. She came as a tourist, by exploring the country, she found an agency that she liked, and she thought there was no harm in earning a bit of extra money while she was here. Changing her base to Mumbai from Brazil in order to set her career.[6]
Career
Bruna has been stationed in Mumbai and has her eyes set on Bollywood and fashion industry. Her first video was with Shekhar Suman in his debut album Mere Gham Ke Dayare Mein. She performed an item song (Rehem Kare) for Anubhav Sinha’s Cash.
She participated in the reality TV Show Dancing Queen and also in reality TV Show Khatron Ke Khiladi on Colors TV, hosted by Akshay Kumar. She was eliminated from Fear Factor on the third day, broadcast on 9 September 2009, only to make a Wild Card re-entry on the 8th day (broadcast on 17 September 2009). Finally, she was eliminated in the episode of 24 September 2009. She performed a number of shocking stunts & was appreciated by Akshay Kumar himself.[7]
Abdullah is taking part (alongside boyfriend Omar Farooque) in the upcoming dance reality TV series Nach Baliye 6 on Star Plus channel.
She had also appeared in several advertising commercials for IndusInd Bank alongside Ranvir Shorey and for Reebok with MS Dhoni. She has appeared as an item girl in the movie Desi Boyz released in 2011. She has also starred in one of 2012's most awaited Tamil movie Billa II where she won Kalakar Awards for the Best International Youth Icon Award.
