Broadfield railway station served the district of Broadfield in Heywood in Greater Manchester, England from 1869 until 1970. The line through the station has since been reopened by the East Lancashire Railway, although the station itself remains disused. However the East Lancashire Railway plans to reopen this station as finances allow, Although a new site (on opposite side of bridge) may be required as original site has been redeveloped over the years since closure in the past.[citation needed]
