Brittany Pettersen is a member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing the 28th district. She is a member of the Democratic Party.
Personal life and education
Pettersen was born in Colorado, and has lived in Jefferson County, Colorado since she was six years old.[1] Pettersen graduated from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, after having to switch colleges due to issues with student loans.[2]
Career
Pettersen worked for New Era Colorado, an organization devoted to engaging young people in politics.[1] Pettersen won election to the Colorado General Assembly in 2012, defeating Republican Amy Attwood to win the open seat.[3]
In 2013, Pettersen opposed a repeal of the death penalty in Colorado.[4]
