Bristol +

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bristol+ is a partnership board made up of media, creative and technology professionals, politicians and local government officers in Bristol, England. It is administered by the Watershed Media Centre and is tasked with identifying projects that will enhance and exploit the region's strengths and international stature in the creative media, design and technology sectors.

The board is responsible for distributing a £300,000 a year fund, made available by South West of England Regional Development Agency who invested £6.4m[1] to enable Watershed to buy its home, the historic dockside E&W sheds. This gives the successful media centre long term stability and the chance to grow its dynamic community for creative businesses. Over £300,000 per year in surplus rent from other businesses in the buildings will be ploughed into this new fund to invest in areas such as skills, development, networking and innovation.[2]
