Big Bash League 2011/12
The team started very poorly and lost their first 4 matches. But the team with an outside chance to reach the semis, made a fabulous comeback by winning their last 3 matches, and were just eliminated in the last match of BBL. Brendon McCullum missed some matches as he was playing HRV Cup in New Zealand simultaneously while Daniel Vettori missed few games because of injury while the original captain James Hopes missed the whole tournament because of injury. The team despite some poor show in the beginning, still ended 5th/8 on the points table.
