Brighouse Town F.C. are a football club based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, England, who are members of the Northern Counties East League Premier Division for the 2013–14 season and play at St Giles' Road.
History
They were established in 1963 and played in the Huddersfield Works League until 1975 when they joined the West Riding County Amateur League.
At the end of 2007–08 they applied to join the NCEL Division One and their application was successful.
After consolidating their position in their first season at the higher level they finished an impressive second place in the 2009–10 season and gained promotion to the NCEL Premier Division where they again consolidated there position finishing in 16th place under the guidance of Mark Brier. The following season saw a change in manager, Mick Couzens came in from Bradford Park Avenue, after four competitive matches, Couzens walked away and was replaced by current manager Paul Quinn who managed to finish the season as high as 4th. In the 2012/13 season Quinn in his first full season in charge signed a new array of talent including talisman Tom Matthews who scored 45 goals, despite a good season including an FA Vase cup run, Quinn's side finished runners up by two points to Scarborough Athletic on 97 points. Brighouse have made a solid start to the 2013/14 season and are constantly breaking club records, most recent is the run in the FA Cup were they will meet ex football league club Stockport County in the 2nd preliminary round of the competition at Edgeley Park.
