Bridge wing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A bridge wing is a narrow walkway extending outward from both sides of a pilothouse to the full width of a ship. Officers use bridge wings when docking or maneuvering in locks and narrow waterways. Many of them are equipped with a control console allowing the rudder and engines to be controlled from them.
