Bridge of Cally
Bridge of Cally is small village in Blairgowrie parish, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It is at a bridge over the River Ericht soon after its formation by the confluence of the River Ardle and the Black Water (which drains Glen Shee as Shee Water).[1] The A93 road crosses the bridge, and forms a junction with the A924 road. The village is on the Cateran Trail long distance path, and is popular in winter as it is near the Glen Shee skiing area.[2]
The village has a hotel, a post office / general store, and a village hall.[3]
There was previously a school, the Strone of Cally School, but as of January 2014 it had closed and its building was for sale.[4]
The nearby Cally House is an early 19th-century house and a Category C listed building.[5]
