From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Brideville F.C. is a defunct Irish football club that was from the Liberties area of Dublin. They played in the League of Ireland from 1925 until 1932 and from 1935 until 1943, reappearing for the 1944/45 season. They initially played their home games in Richmond Park in Inchicore but moved to Harolds Cross Greyhound Stadium in 1929, remaining there until their demise in 1945. Brideville never won a trophy at senior level but were the first ever winners of the FAI Junior Cup in 1925.

Despite appearing in two FAI Cup finals, Brideville were unsuccessful on both occasions. They surprising lost 1-0 to Drumcondra of the Leinster Senior League in the replay of the 1927 final at Shelbourne Park, and they went down again by the same scoreline in the 1930 decider to Shamrock Rovers.
