Brian Zbydniewski(Born September 9, 1981) is a professional American football quarterback who is currently a member of the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League. Zbydniewski played college football at Belhaven University.
High School
Brian attended Choctawhatchee Senior High School located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. A three year letterman and captain for the football team, Brian led them to state playoffs as a senior.
College
Zbydniewski started his collegiate career at East Central Community College.In 2003 he was named First team Mid-South Conference and Offensive Player of the year. He completed 311 passes for 3,888 yards. In 2004 he passed for 2,643 yards and 13 touchdowns. Ranks fourth all time in NAIA single-season passing yards per game.[1]
Pro career
In 2005, Brian was a member of the South Georgia Wildcats of the af2. He finally received an opportunity to play after starting quarterback Bobby Pesavento left the fourth quarter with a knee injury. After the game Head Coach Chris Siegfried announced that Brian was the new starting quarterback.[2] His first win came against the Albany Conquest. After the game Zbydniewski was named af2 player of the week. He was the first South Georgia Wild player to ever be named to this honor.[3] In 2006 Brian was a member of the Spokane Shock.[4] On May 9, 2006 Spokane traded Brian to Bossier Shreveport Battle Wings for Kyle Rowley.[5] In 2009 Brian was a member of the Quad City Steamwheelers. In 2010 he once again was a member of the Shock. In 2011 he played for the Tampa Bay Storm.[6] On December 1, 2011 he and offensive linemen Mark Thompson were assigned to the New Orleans VooDoo.[7] In 2012 he played for the New Orleans Night and 2013 with the Cleveland Gladiators.
