Brian Gallant (born 1982) is leader of the New Brunswick Liberal Association which forms the official opposition in the New Brunswick Legislative Assembly. He was elected party leader on October 27, 2012 defeating two other candidates at the party's leadership election. Gallant is a lawyer by profession[1] He first gained a seat in the legislature when he won in a landslide victory as the party's candidate for the 2013 Kent by-election.[2]

In the 2006 provincial election, Gallant was the Liberal candidate in Moncton East against Conservative Premier Bernard Lord and received 40.6% of the vote in his unsuccessful attempt to unseat the premier.
