Brian Biggs (born March 9, 1968, in Little Rock, Arkansas) is a Children's Book Illustrator.[1] He has been published by HarperCollins and Random House,[2] among others, and has illustrated a Little Golden Book.[3][4]
Early work
Brian Biggs originally made comic books, like Dear Julia (1996–97), which was published by Black Eye Productions. It was later made into a short film directed by Isaac E. Gozin.[5]
Children's Books
Brian Biggs later began to illustrate for small projects, and eventually illustrated a children's book series, Shredderman, written by Wendelin Van Draanen in 2004-05, which was turned into the Nickelodeon TV film Shredderman Rules.[6] He landed more deals later, like the Roscoe Riley Rules book series, and Brownie & Pearl, written by Cynthia Rylant. He has recently finished and published the first two books of the series Everything Goes, written and illustrated by himself.
Personal life
He attended Parsons School of Design starting in 1987 for a few years, and later moved to San Francisco in 1993, where he met his ex-wife Jessica Richardson.[1] They moved to Philadelphia in 1999 and had two children named Wilson (b. 1999) and Elliot (b. 2000). They were divorced in 2004, and Biggs later met his current wife Sacha Adorno. They got engaged on Christmas 2010, and were married in October 2012.
