An Australian international and New South Wales State of Origin representative winger, he is the son of St. George Dragons, New South Wales and Australian rugby league representative Steve Morris, and twin brother of Josh Morris who also plays NRL for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. Playing career

2000s

A Kiama Knights junior, Brett was selected to play international rugby league for Australia in the 2009 Four Nations tournament, a reward for good form throughout the 2009 NRL season. He crossed six times to finish the tournament as top try-scorer. He is contracted with the Dragons until the end of 2012. said after his re-signing: "I enjoy living in Wollongong, it is where my family and friends are and the Dragons are the team I grew up supporting so I'm very happy to be staying."[2]

2010s

Morris kept up his try-scoring form, and in the 2010 ANZAC Test against New Zealand (his first Test in Australia) he scored both of Australia's tries in the win. Brett made his debut for the New South Wales rugby league team in the 2010 State of Origin series on 26 May, playing all three matches of the series. At the end of the year he played in 2010 NRL Grand Final, helping the Dragons to their first premiership as a joint venture.

In 2011, Morris was selected to play for the NRL All Stars at Skilled Park on the Gold Coast on 12 February.[3] Brett was named man-of-the-match after scoring two tries in the Dragons' victory over English club Wigan in the 2011 World Club Challenge. In his 100th game for St George Illawarra he scored a try against the Canberra Raiders in which the Dragons lost 24-19.

For the 2012 NRL season, Morris has been shifted from his usual position on the wing back to fullback for the Dragons by new coach Steve Price.

Morris played for Australia on the wing and scored a try in the 2013 ANZAC Test victory against New Zealand.
