Brad Keselowski Racing

Brad Keselowski Racing is a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and ARCA team started in 2007. It is owned and operated by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Brad Keselowski. The team currently fields the No. 19 Cequent Group/Melon 1 Ford F-150 for Keselowski, his Sprint Cup teammate Joey Logano, Ross Chastain, and Dave Blaney, as well as the No. 29 Cooper Standard Ford F-150 for Dave's son Ryan Blaney.^[1]

History

In 2007, Keselowski formed his own race team, which began competing in the Truck Series in 2008. Robb Brent signed to drive the No. 19 Chevy for three races, with a best finish of 21st. Keselowski drove the No. 19 Chevy himself in the Lucas Oil 150 at the Phoenix International Raceway. Using the engine out of his race-winning Nationwide car from Bristol, he started 7th and finished the race in 6th position. Keselowski entered the team in eight more races in 2009, this time with the familiar Keselowski family's #29. and Mikey Kile driving. BKR brought J. R. Fitzpatrick in for one race, Mikey Kile for six races, and Brad raced once at Bristol.

Keselowski has also entered a part-time entry in the ARCA Series for DeWitt, Michigan driver, 17 year old Chad Finley, son of former ARCA winner Jeff Finley. Finley has three top tens so far in his starts for BKR, a best of 3rd at the Berlin Raceway in Marne, MI. He also finished a strong 6th at the Toledo Speedway and 9th at Iowa Speedway. Finley won his first career pole at the Rockingham Speedway, late race contact would relegate Finley to 15th in the final rundown. Parker Kligerman won an ARCA race in 2009 on the same week that BKR driver Chad Finley finished sixth in his ARCA debut. In 2010, Finley ran the No. 29 Chevrolet in a few ARCA races with sponsorship from Auto Value and Air Lift Services. His best finish was 3rd at Pocono.

In 2010, Keselowski ran the No. 29 BKR truck at Nashville, bringing home a respectable 18th place finish.

In 2011, BKR fielded the No. 29 Penske Truck Rental Ram for development driver Parker Kligerman. The team intended to run 15 races before Penske committed to sponsoring the team for the full season. Kligerman scored a few top fives but finished 11th in points. For 2012, the Cequent Group and Cooper Standard will sponsor the No. 29 team for 2012. Team owner Keselowski will also be driving a second truck, No. 19 truck in 6 races. Due to a lack of performance, Kligerman was released and Ryan Blaney was brought in to fill out the schedule in the #29. Blaney immediately made a splash, winning at Iowa Speedway in his third start.

BKR also fields an Outlaw Super Late Model, in Michigan, where Brad is from. Australian driver Andrew Hagen has moved to Michigan in 2009 to drive the car, originally from an open wheel/road racing background, he is using this class to gain experience before moving up into ARCA/NASCAR competition with BKR.^{[citation needed]}
