Reception

Critical reception

Pilot Viruet of The A.V. Club gave the episode an A–, saying that the episode had funny moments throughout, but praising its relationship building between Tina and Louise in particular: "Louise is often seen as fearless, but her three-hour crush throws her for such a loop that she emerges with a newfound respect for Tina who deals with this every day."[2] John of Bubbleblabber gave the episode an eight out of ten. He felt that though the episode was funny, it appeared to be repeating story lines. "I’m also getting a little tired of competitions with Bob’s Burgers as it seems like every week we have another one...Granted it was funny as hell seeing a ‘The Mens-truant’, I just couldn’t help but think ‘I think I’ve seen one just like this last week or so’."[3]

Ratings

The episode received a 1.7 rating and was watched by a total of 3.50 million people. This made it the fourth most watched show on Animation Domination that night, beating The Cleveland Show but losing to Family Guy with 4.89 million.[4]
