"Born Slippy" is a single by Underworld originally released in 1995, which has never appeared on an album by the group. The track is instrumental and features no lyrics. It is often confused with the more popular vocal track, "Born Slippy .NUXX", because of the similar name. However, they are completely different in composition and sound. The single peaked on the UK Singles Chart in 1995 at #52.[1] The song title comes from the name of a greyhound that the band had bet on and won.[2]

Notes

  • "Born Slippy" is sometimes given the label (original) or (instrumental) to distinguish it from its much more popular b-side, "Born Slippy .NUXX", which features vocals by Karl Hyde.
  • Song was inspired by Bill Bailey.[4]
