Bonefro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Campobasso in the Italian region Molise, located about 25 km northeast of Campobasso. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,791 and an area of 31.1 km².[1]

Bonefro hosts the annual [Adriatic Chamber Music Festival http://www.acmf.org] (Festival di Adriatico da Musica da Camera) in July.

Bonefro borders the following municipalities: Casacalenda, Montelongo, Montorio nei Frentani, Ripabottoni, San Giuliano di Puglia, Sant'Elia a Pianisi, Santa Croce di Magliano.
