Boleyn family

The Boleyn family were a prominent English family in the gentry and aristocracy. They reached the peak of their influence during the Tudor period, when Anne Boleyn became the second wife of Henry VIII and their daughter became Elizabeth I.

Members of the family include:

  • Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII
  • George Boleyn, Viscount Rochford, brother of Anne, executed two days before her
  • Jane Boleyn, Viscountess Rochford, executed alongside Queen Katherine Howard
  • Mary Boleyn, Anne's sister and long-term mistress of Henry VIII
  • George Boleyn (dean), Elizabethan, probably a distant cousin but allegedly the son of George and Jane Boleyn
