Boldogasszonyfa is a village in Baranya county, Hungary.

Location

Placed in the border of Baranya and Somogy countys, next to Szentlászló. Nearest city is Szigetvár, it's 10 km far from the village.

History

Inhabited from the stone age. The name Bodugazonfaua first mentioned in 1344 in a diploma. In 1746 came some slavs, and germans. The village owned by the family Igmándy.
In 1950 the government of Hungary annexed the village from Somogy to Baranya. In 2001 the population's consistency was 2,7% German, 6% Gypsy, the others are Hungarians, and some others.
