Bojhena Shey Bojhena (Bengali: বোঝেনা সে বোঝেনা; English: He/She doesn't understand) is a 2012 Bengali romantic drama film directed by Raj Chakraborty and produced by Shree Venkatesh Films. The film is the remake of 2011 Tamil superhit Engaeyum Eppothum directed by M. Saravanan and starring Jai, Anjali, Sharvanand, and Ananya. The film illustrates two love stories – with Soham Chakraborty & Mimi Chakraborty playing the characters in one of the stories and Abir Chatterjee & Payel Sarkar playing the other – which join together in the climax. The film was initially titled Prem Amar 2 but eventually the director changed the name because of the entry of two new characters and a different storyline. The film's budget was INR80 million (US$1.3 million). The film's music is by debutante Arindom Chatterjee.

The film's theatrical trailer was unveiled on the film's official YouTube channel on 8 December 2012.[1] The movie opened with a thunderous and huge reception at boxoffice. It collects more than its budget in just two days with collecting around INR 17 crore in first 2 days. And in the first weekend day of Sunday it breaks all previous records of Bengali movie by collecting INR 10.8 crore in a single day. The movie Total run it collects INR 95 crore in 4 weeks by which it breaks the previous records of Bhooter Bhobishyot and Challenge 2.

Plot

The film starts with an accident. Then it shifts back several months before when Joyita (Payal Sarkar), a girl from the village comes to Kolkata to give an interview for her work. But her sister who was supposed to guide her could not come due to the stroke of her father-in-law. She takes help from a stranger named Avik (Abir Chatterjee) who bunks his job in order to help her but ends up the entire day with her. The next day Joyita returns to her village and soon realizes her love for Avik. Meanwhile in the city Avik also realizes the same.

Then a parallel story takes place where Noor Islam (Soham Chakraborty), a poor guy from the village comes to Kolkata against the will of his parents. Noor falls in love with Riya (Mimi Chakraborty), a girl who lives next door. He watches her every day at 6 am for the last six months. One day Noor expresses his love for Riya, and Riya accepts. But she commences to command him such as giving organ donation, talking to a police commissioner who is her father and so on. But Riya has a soft heart and begins to love Noor dearly.

Then the story flashes back to the present where Noor takes Riya to meet his parents. They ride the same bus which is boarded by Avik too who decides to go to meet Joyita albeit he does not know her address. Then another bus shows Joyita who decides to go to Kolkata to meet Avik. Besides, it also shows a glimpses of hockey team, colleges students looking at each other and even more. As the journey continues, and Noor and Riya were almost reaching their destination, the buses collide creating a devastating accident. People from all around comes for aid. Noor ends up with a severe head injury and Riya forces him to go to the hospital by an ambulance which was leaving. She stays back to help others as being a nurse, it was her job. Avik also starts helping others. Finally he sees Joyita injured in another bus. The film ends with a tragic part as showing Noor and Joyita dead.

Soundtrack

The film's original soundtrack is composed by debutante Arindom Chatterjee whilst the background score and the title track is by Indraadip Dasgupta, and the lyrics have been penned by Prosen. The first single, named "Na Re Na" was released on YouTube on 1 December 2012, with an overwhelming response – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azLiK9wdxl8. The audio is released on V Music.
