Bogstad Manor.

Bogstad is a former estate and now neighborhood in the borough of Vestre Aker in Oslo, Norway.

It has its origin in a farm by the same name, near the lake Bogstadvannet. The farm was owned by several notable people. It went from Peder Nielsen Leuch and his family to Peder Anker of the Anker family via marriage; then to Johan Caspar Herman Wedel-Jarlsberg of the Wedel-Jarlsberg family via his marriage to Karen anker . The farm was developed with a larger Manor house, from 1785 with an English garden-style park. The last private owners were Nini Wedel-Jarlsberg (1880–1945) and Westye Parr Egeberg (1877–1959). The property Bogstad has been owned by Oslo municipality since 1954, and the manor itself was given to the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History.[1][2]
