The Japanese version was performed during their first Japanese arena tour Shinee World 2012.

Release

The song was composed and written by Lee Jae Myung who also worked with Girls' Generation on "Kissing You".[1] He also penned the lyrics of the Korean version of the song which was released as a digital single for promotion of Samsung Anycall Bodyguard cell phone on April 3, 2009. It was used as the background music for the commercial film which featured the popular on-screen couple So Yi-jung (Kim Bum) and Chu Ga-eul (Kim So-eun) from the popular KBS romantic drama series Boys Over Flowers.[2] Unlike "Stand By Me," another soundtrack for the series performed by Shinee, "Bodyguard" was not included in the Boys Over Flowers OST.[3]

The rearranged version of the song was performed by Shinee during their first Asia tour Shinee World and the live version was included in live album Shinee World. The Japanese version was performed during Shinee's first Japanese arena tour Shinee World 2012.
