Bodie Olmos

Bodie James Olmos (born August 27, 1975) is an American actor of TV and film. He is the son of Edward James Olmos and Katija Keel, and grandson of Howard Keel. His older brother is actor Mico Olmos, and his younger sister is Daniela Olmos. His first on screen appearance was on The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez in 1982 when he was 7 years old. His most recent appearance on television is alongside his father in Battlestar Galactica as Lieutenant Junior Grade Brendan "Hotdog" Costanza. He also acted in a film directed by his father named Walkout.

His hobbies include surfing and playing timpani.

Life

Bodie James Olmos is a native of Los Angeles California and born August 27, 1975. He was named after a ghost town in California which his mother, Katija Keel, visited when she was young. Growing up he was very athletic and participated in a number of events, including several triathlons. Bodie still remains active but surfing has become his predominant interest over the past 20 years. Another of his interests includes music and he is an accomplished drummer and occasionally he and his brother have small jam sessions, with his particular interest being in the blues and an admirer of Carlos Santana.[1] He attended and graduated from the UCLA School of Theatre in Los Angeles in 2000. He also took additional courses in acting from the Sanford Meisner Center and received a degree from there as well.
