Robert William "Bob" Broome (September 16, 1916 – June 19, 1959)[2] was the eleventh head football coach for the Appalachian State Mountaineers located in the town of Boone in Watauga County, North Carolina from 1956–58.[3] From 1955 to 1956, he coached Appalachian State's baseball team.
