Robert Wade "Bob" Barnwell (January 1, 1916 – September 19, 1985) was the head football coach for the Western Illinois University Leathernecks located in Macomb, Illinois and he held that position for the 1944 season. His career coaching record at Western Illinois was 0 wins, 8 losses, and 0 ties. This ranks him 18th at Western Illinois in total wins and 18th at Western Illinois in winning percentage.[1] Barnwell attended Missouri State University and Columbia University Teachers' College prior to coming to Western Illinois.[2][3]
He died in 1985.[4]
