Andrzejczak had served in Iraq with the United States Army until his discharge following an injury from a grenade explosion in 2010, and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.[1][2]
Matthew W. Milam (D, Vineland) resigned from his seat in the Assembly as of February 28, 2013,[3] and was replaced by Andrzejczak who was sworn into office in March after being selected by Democratic committee members from Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland counties.[1]

Each of the 40 districts in the New Jersey Legislature has one representative in the New Jersey Senate and two members in the New Jersey General Assembly. The other representatives from the 1st Legislative District for the 2014-2015 Legislative Session are:[4]
