Bitteswell is a small village and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire in England. It is close to Lutterworth, and situated just to the north of that town, and in the 2001 census had a population of 454.[1] It was recorded in the Domesday Book as Betmeswelle.

The village also had its own RAF station called RAF Bitteswell.[2] Hawker Siddeley had a factory next to the airfield, where Vulcan bombers (and many other aircraft) were built and maintained.[3]

Bitteswell also has St. Mary's C of E Primary School, St Mary's church, and a pub, "The Man at Arms", which is part of the King Henry Taverns group.[citation needed]
