The Birmingham Blitz Dames (BBD) are a roller derby league based in Birmingham in England. Founded in October 2006 by American transplant Bee Bentley (Bee Sting nee Iva Issues) who introduced roller derby to the West Midlands and trained skaters.[1]

The league was the first to form in the UK outside London,[2] and was originally known as the Birmingham Blitz Derby Dames.[3]

In 2009 the league logo was changed and renamed as the Birmingham Blitz Dames. The league currently has an A team and a B team and over 50 league members. In 2010, they were founder members of the UK Roller Derby Association.

Two skaters from the league were selected for the Roller Derby World Cup in 2011: Violet Attack for Team England,[4] and Roisin Roulette for Team Ireland.[5]
