Binyiny is a town in Eastern Uganda. It is the largest town in Kween District and the headquarters of the district are located in the town.[1] Kween District is one of the twenty-three (23) newly created districts in Uganda. Before July 2010, the district was part of Kapchorwa District.[2]

Location

Binyiny is located approximately 69 kilometres (43 mi), by road, northeast of Mbale, the nearest largest city.[3] This location is approximately 5 kilometres (3.1 mi), north-northeast of Kapchorwa, the largest town in the sub-region.[4] The coordinates of the town are: 01 24 54N, 34 30 54E. (Latitude:1.4150; Longitude:34.5150).[5]
