Binus University, formerly Bina Nusantara,[1] is a university located in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The university was founded on October 21, 1974 as the "Modern Computer Course," a short-term computer training institute, and evolved into a full-scale university with undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate degree programs. It was established as Bina Nusantara University on August 8, 1996.

Faculties and academic programmes

  • The Faculty of Computer Studies consists of four departments: Information Systems, Computer Science (Computer Science, Mobile Application and Technology), Computer Engineering, and Computer Accounting (Computerized Accounting, Information System Audit).
  • The Faculty of Science and Technology consists of three departments: Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Architecture.
  • The Faculty of Economics and Business consists of three departments: Management (Management, International Marketing), Accounting, and Hotel Management.
  • The Faculty of Language and Culture consists of three departments: English Literature, Japanese Literature, and Chinese Literature.
  • The Faculty of Communication and Multimedia consists of three departments: Marketing Communication (Broadcasting, Public Relation, Digital Journalism), Visual Communication Design (New Media, Animation, Creative Advertising), and Interior Design.
  • The Faculty of Psychology consists of one department: Department of Psychology.
  • The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences consists of two departments: Mathematics and Statistics.

The university has four campuses located in the Greater Jakarta area, Anggrek campus in Kebon Jeruk, Syahdan and Kijang campus in Palmerah, and Alam Sutera campus in Tangerang. in addition, the Joseph Wibowo Center for Advance Learning (JWC) is in Kebayoran Baru.
