Bidadi is a town situated on the Bangalore - Mysore expressway and is in the Ramanagaram Taluk of Ramanagara district (formerly part of Bangalore Rural district), in the state of Karnataka of India. The town is located just 32 km from Bangalore.

The Bangalore Metropolitan Development Authority is planning a Township in Bidadi[1] to be developed on a public-private partnership model and DLF has won the bid and it is a 60000 crore project. This township would be named as "Bidadi Knowledge City".

Famous Golf club Eagleton and magnolia resorts resides in Bidadi premises. Major residential project's are taken up by private developers as it is the next big industrial and development area of bangalore

Development

The world's biggest automobile manufacturer Toyota has its subsidiarity unit Toyota Kirloskar Motors located here. Bosch Ltd. plans to relocate its Bangalore plant to Bidadi. The relocation is planned in two phases from 2012-13 to 2015-16.[2]
