Biate is a census town in Serchhip district in the state of Mizoram, India.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Biate had a population of 2227. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Biate has an average literacy rate of 87%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 87% and female literacy of 88%. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
