Bianca Modenese

The Bianca Val Padana or Modenese is a native cattle breed raised in Italy. They are a dual purpose cattle breed from the Emilia Romagna and Lombardy Region and they are bred primarily for beef and milk production. In the past they were often used as draught animals They are white coated;the male is 155 cm tall and can weigh 1050 kg, instead the female is 145 cm tall and can weigh over 650 kg They occasionally exhibit double muscling. The breed is classed as endangered because there are approximately 800 animals in the world
