Bhupalpally is a town,Nagara panchayat and a mandal in Warangal district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.[1]
Geography
Bhupalpally is located North West of Warangal Dist and is the Black Gold city of Warangal. It is surrounded by forest ranges to the north. There are huge deposits of Coal underneath. This place has become a future prospect for Coal industry and also a Mega electric generation plant called Kakatiya Thermal Power Station which is producing 500 MW of power and another 500 MW unit is under construction.Now it is Municipality. Nearest river flowing is Godavari, Pranahita and Maneru.
KTK 1 Incline
This mine was inaugurated by Late N.T Rama Rao in 1988 and started production in 1991.
Specialty of KTK 8 Incline
This mine has vast deposits of "B" grade coal and is given on contract to Hinduja Group Of Industries using modern machines.Its Director visits at least once in a week.
