Bhogapuram (Telugu: భోగాపురం) is a town and Mandal in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh, India.[1] Bhogapuram is rich in agricultural resources along the banks of Champavati river and its canals.
Geography
Bhogapuram is located at 18°04′00″N 83°30′00″E / 18.0667°N 83.50°E. It has an average altitude of 20 meters (68 ft).
Bhogapuram is located on the National Highway 5 (Chennai to Kolkata) and 45 km from Visakhapatnam.
Demography
Bhogapuram Mandal has a population of 52,558 in 2001. Males constitutes 26,444 and Females 26,114 of the population. The average literacy rate is 43.1%, below the national average of 59.5%. Male literacy rate is 52% and Female literacy rate is 34%.
Legislative Assembly
