Bhedarganj (Bengali: ভেদরগঞ্জ) is an Upazila of Shariatpur District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Geography

Bhedarganj is located at 23°12′30″N 90°26′30″E / 23.2083°N 90.4417°E / 23.2083; 90.4417 . It has 36550 units of house hold and total area 267.28 km².

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Bhedarganj has a population of 207258. Males constitute 50.67% of the population, and females 49.33%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 94743. Bhedarganj has an average literacy rate of 22.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]
