Bhatraju

Bhatraju is an Indian caste found in southern states of the country. Their legends relate them to the north Indian Bhatt communities. According to tradition they were invited from north India to south by kakatiya king Pratapa Rudra to perform religious rituals in the houses of Velama chiefs.
