History

Bhaskar Nagar is a small village comprising nearly 100 houses. It has been founded by Bhaskar Rao, hence the name Bhaskar Nagar. Most of the inhabitants have come from villages near Markapuram in Prakasam. This village is part of Guntur District.

Transport facilities

It is connected with Vinukonda, the nearest town, through roads. Transport mostly occurs via private cars as no public transport serves this route presently. It is located 15 km from Vinukonda (where the nearest railway station is situated) and 40 km from Narasaraopeta.
