Bhadu

Bhadu or Bhadoo is clan or gotra of Jats found in Rajasthan, Western Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh. Bhadus were rulers in Jangladesh where they established Bhadra. A famous ruler in Bhadus was Samantraj. Bhadus had a war with Bhagore people. After this war one of their group moved to Marwar. Bhadus also occupied many villages in Ajmer-mewara.[1] Bhadoos have a dominant share in the agricultural land of Western Punjab (Ferozepore Dist.)and in the Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan. Evidence compiled by Nainsi on the clans of the Jats and their original homes and migration there from to different places in Merta in Nagaur are of Immense importance. It is one of the prominent immigrant clans who came to Merta.

Bhadus were rulers in Jangladesh where they established Bhadra. A famous ruler in Bhadus was Samantraj. Bhadus had a war with Bhagore people. After this war one of their group moved to Marwar. Bhadus also occupied many villages in Ajmer-mewara.[2] A common saying about generosity of Bhaddoos is "Sau sadhu aur ek Bhadu barabar hote hain", means one Bhadu individual is equivalent to 100 saints.
