Berntsen Point (60°43′S 45°36′W / 60.717°S 45.600°WCoordinates: 60°43′S 45°36′W / 60.717°S 45.600°W) is a headland which forms the south side of the entrance to Borge Bay on the east side of Signy Island, in the South Orkney Islands. It was charted in 1927 by DI personnel on the Discovery, and probably named for Captain Søren Berntsen, master of the Orwell, who was of assistance in transporting DI personnel the following year.[1]
