Bernard Jourdain

Bernard Jourdain (born August 16, 1950 in Brussels) is a Belgian born Mexican former race car driver. He started two Indianapolis 500's (1989 Indianapolis 500, 1991 Indianapolis 500). He was named the Indy 500 Co-Rookie of the Year in 1989 with Scott Pruett.[1] He entered the 1990 Indy 500, but wrecked twice in practice and failed to qualify. Jourdain is the uncle of racer Michel Jourdain, Jr.. He was also the first foreign-born driver to race for 4-time Indianapolis 500 winner A.J. Foyt, starting and finishing 20th in the 1991 Long Beach Grand Prix.
