Benji Oldai Villalobos Segovia (born July 15, 1988 in El Salvador) is a Salvadoran footballer who currently plays for C.D. Águila in the Salvadoran Premier Division.

Club career

After starting his career at local outfit UDET, Villalobos played for Salvadoran second division side Universidad before joining Águila.[1] Although Villalobos had been signed to Águila since 2006, he did not get any game time until May 2, 2008 in a league match against Alianza. Although Águila lost that game 2-1, Villalobos did very well and proved that he had a lot of potential. On September 15 2012, he scored a penalty against Metapan and became the eight goalkeeper to score in the Salvadoran Apertura.

Match-fixing ban

On October 10, 2013, Villalobos was banned for 6 months due to his involvement with match fixing.[2]

International career

Villalobos received his first callup to the El Salvador national football team for the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification game against Suriname on September 10, 2008. Unfortunately he did not get any game time, and although he has since then, been selected numerous times, he only received his first full men's national team Cap played against Guatemala in a September 2010 international friendly, losing two-nil. He was a non-playing squad member at the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup.[3]
