Benjamin O. Jimerson-Phillips is an African American movie producer, director, songwriter, and screenwriter.[1] Also known as Benjamin O. Jimerson, with Adept Films Inc., as well as owner Jimerson & Associates founded in 1995.[2] Aside from his film related work he also is an established screen writer, and has also authored three published books. Biography

Benjamin O. Jimerson-Philips, also known as "Ben Jimerson" was born to parents Jessie Jimerson-Phillips, and J.O. Patterson Sr.,[3][4] being the eldest of their two children.[5] He attended the Sabarbaro Elementary School (now know as Author Ash School), in Chicago, IL in his youth.[4] Raised by his mother Jessie, he was exposed early on to the Christian church and strong religious values,[5][6] her work as an avid Christian missionary, book author, songwriter and humanitarian inspired him, eventually leading him to contribute and publish a gospel activity book, written and illustrated by his mother "Agape Coloring Activity Book Of Prayers Puzzle Games ".[7][7] Jimerson-Philips father James O. Patterson Sr. being former Presiding Bishop of Church of God In Christ,[8] also had weight in the Christian church community, being one of the First Elected Presiding Bishop's in the Church of God in Christ 1968–1989.[9] Jimerson-Philips siblings include sister Annette P. Jimerson published author and artist,[10] and half brother J.O. Patterson Jr. former two term Tennessee Congressman, and Tennessee Senator and first black Mayor for the City of Memphis.[11][12] Stephen Wigley Jr., and reported half-brothers to Kimmy Brooks Anthony Flagg, and Kevin Haley all alleged to be children of J.O. Patterson Sr.[4]

Also having authored three other published books including Prodigal Son Child of The King,[4] 'Player's School' (Book of Game),[13] and "A Day In The Life... ".<ref name=""A Day In The Life"... McKinney of COGIC Southern California Second Jurisdiction, whom he claims as his surrogate Father figure in his Prodigal Son, Child of The King publication.[4] He has also played a supporting role in the career successes of Actor David Ramsey, Jazsmin Lewis, Sam Saletta, and Niki Saletta.[2] Before pursuing his dreams in the entertainment field he formed a stage name for himself, reforming his name to Captain Fantastic.<ref name=""A Day In The Life"... Early on in Jimerson-Philips career, he dabbled in the music industry acting as a casting agent, to provide talent for numerous music videos including "I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)", "Izzo" and "Girls, Girls, Girls (Jay-Z song) by Jay-Z, In "Disco Inferno (50 Cent song)", "Candy Shop" by 50 Cent, "More Than A Woman" by Aaliyah, "Thong Song" by Sisqo, Snake", "Fiesta" and "If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time" by R. ISBN 1466347724.  </ref> Jimerson-Philips primary focus however is in the film industry, where his early fascination with film lead him to earn a certificate of completion, at the Hollywood Film Institute for Cinema Director & Line Producer.[4] He has produced five motion pictures[14] including Resurrection: The J.R. Richard Story,[15] Waters Rising,[16][17][17] and Treasure n tha Hood (which he co-produced, starring Katt Williams)[18] to name a few. The biopic movie Resurrection: The J.R. Richard Story (film), starring David Ramsey,[19][20] Kenya Moore of "Real Housewives of Atlanta", Sara Stokes of "Making The Band", and two time Oscar Nominee Charles Durning all being a well rounded highlight in Jimerson-Philips film career. In recent years he has been noted for being involved in developing several significant projects for the silver screen, television and stage[2] including the comedy "Player’s School",[2] as well as reality series "The House of Divas",[2] and "Country Girls", WWI film "Camp Logan". As well as assisting in the development of the stage plays Before We Say I Do and "Celebrate Moma" (with playwright Michael McCurtis).

He has also been Commissioned as a "Goodwill Ambassador" by Arkansas Governors Jim Guy Tucker and Mike Huckabee.[4] In early 2000 he ran for City Council in the city of Little Rock, AR. However Jimerson-Philips ran a self funded campaign and did not accept donations, on the notion that doing so only insured special interest Candidates would win, and not those who have the best values, or visionary plan.<ref name=""A Day In The Life"...
