Ben Unwin portrayed the character Jesse McGregor on the Australian television drama Home and Away from 1995 to 2005.[1]

He commenced his acting career at the age of 12, playing a lead in the Musical Seven Little Australians for a year run at the Footbridge Theatre and worked consistently in film, television, commercials, and theatre while he completed his school education. After receiving his Higher School Certificate Ben had the role of bad boy Jesse written for him after auditioning for another role on the TV drama Home and Away.

At the 39th Annual TV Week Logie Awards held in 1997, Ben was nominated for the Logie for Most Popular New Talent for his work on Home and Away. He was also nominated for a British TV Award for Best Newcomer.

Following his stint on Home and Away Ben embarked on a career change and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws in 2010 and is currently undertaking his Masters in Law. He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and now works as a solicitor in Sydney.
