Belfast Roller Derby (BRD) is a roller derby league based in Belfast in Northern Ireland. Founded in 2010, the league consists of a single team, which competes against teams from other leagues.

The league was founded in 2010 by Hannah Whitall, who had friends who played for leagues in England, after she watched online videos of other leagues. The release of the film Whip It rapidly increased interest, and it arranged training with the Dublin and Glasgow Roller Girls.[1] Belfast was the first roller derby league in Northern Ireland,[1] and was founded only a year after Dublin, the first league in Ireland.[2]

Belfast played its first home bout in November 2011.[3] In May 2012, it was accepted as a member of the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association.[4]
